Michael Gilligan

Michael has always been fascinated and motivated by competition and adrenaline. From a young age he followed Formula 1 racing, and competed in many different sports and athletics. He purchased his first sports car when he was 16 years old, a Mazda RX-7. Michael had always hoped that when life circumstances would allow, that he could pursue some form of motorsports.

At the age of 30 in the year 2012, a good friend and competitive motocross racer suggested he try riding a Honda 450CRF on a private motocross track. The experience was so exhilarating, Michael decided to commit to two wheels and purchased his first street motorcycle. Coupled with a passion for road racing, Michael pursued the option to enter race school with the EMRA in 2016.

After completing his first year of club racing, Michael joined Taylor Racing in 2017. Although Michael has encountered significant challenges and hardships in just a short period of time racing competitively, he is determined to continue the enjoyment and comradery inherent within the team and the amazing motorsports experience.
