Meet the Team
Malcolm Gray
Against the advice of a number of people who knew nothing about motorcycles, and many who did, Malcolm began riding motorcycles legally in 1984. That's before many of the current Taylor racing team could walk, not least because many had yet to be born. With the resulting emotional scars, Malcolm crashed his first Ducati in 1997, but it was an event which predictably led to a valuable contact in the dimly-lit Ducati track bike replacement parts world.
Furthermore, through judicious choice of alternative manufacturers, this feat of Ducati crashing and emotional scarring was not repeated until 2018, having variously crashed Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis and even a Buell in faraway and exotic places which include Thailand and England, before coming to Canada to surely finish his racing career. To the surprise of many, not least himself, Malcolm finished third in the 2019 EMRA Middleweight Twins championship but will sadly not be in Alberta to defend his place in 2020 owing to work commitments.
Phew! And, despite being no stranger to travel yet somewhat reluctantly it has to be said, Malcolm made up the numbers in Taylor Racing's Endurance Racing debut not only at a different club and circuit, but in a different province, the 2019 WMRC four hour season finale at Mission Raceway in British Columbia.
Famous friends include Ryan Taylor (no relation).
